Welcome to English Country Garden ~ makers and suppliers of handcrafted shabby chic style wooden signs!

We are a small family run business designing and crafting unique and bespoke shabby chic styled solid wood signs and artworks. We pride ourselves in customer care and have maintained a good client base with extremely positive feedback. We individually hand wrap our signs deliciously and offer freepostage.

Each sign is hand cut, hand planed and hand painted~colours and pigments are mixed to create a unique aged look~ some are crackle glazed~others distressed and shabbied but each one is gorgeous! Our signs are finished to perfection with a hanger ready to hang and protective coating for display inside or out.

Nothing is too much effort for us ~we will always go the extra mile to design bespoke signs for our customers! We have been lucky enough to have had commissions from Castle Howard stately home near York for signs for their exquisite tea room at the main house (we have a thank you letter from them in which it praises our work) .We enjoy our work ~ whoever it is for! Our aim is to produce a quality item that will give pleasure to all who view each piece!

Part of our business is named after our workshop 'The Potting Shed' and we also sell under this name on NotOnTheHighStreet.com. The Potting Shed is also home to Bumble.. our resident rabbit and the one we run all our ideas by! He will be updating the blog soon!
